26/27 July Holiday Over

After sensibly choosing to moor at the marina for our final night it was so much easier to start getting our things packed into the cars early in the morning.

Having to vacate the boat by 9am meant an earlier than normal holiday breakfast time! But we managed 😄.

So for all of us it was a day of driving in a car rather than a leisurely potter along the waterways. The motorways don't quite have the same outlook and scenery that we've been enjoying for the past fortnight.

We returned to house sit and plant water for friends. Although not as much watering as last time as there's a hose pipe ban down here. Some lovely fresh raspberries to enjoy though.

This morning we couldn't get out of the front door! Ian had to go round the back and eventually managed to undo the lock. We'll have to re learn the technique for opening it as we didn't have a problem last time.

We enjoyed lunch out and the afternoon catching up with friends. Tomorrow we'll be out galavanting as well.

I was left a project on this visit. I had to undo a loosely knitted hedgehog and reknit it. Nearly done.
