After a trip into West Malling first thing I returned to find Ian taking on a David Attenborough role.
After mowing the lawn he thought he'd found a mini grass snake.
On closer investigation and identification using the ObsIdentify app, we discovered it was an Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar. It was about esize of a chipolata!
Following that bit of excitement we were collected for an afternoon out. We were taken for a walk along the sea front on the Isle of Sheppey and then late lunch.
