This morning's view wasn't the best we've had so far. On the outskirts of Birmingham it's a bit grubby, with graffiti on every available spot.
There's also more well loved and odd looking boats strewn along the canal pathways. Even an old lifeboat converted for living in.
We didn't avoid the graffiti - we spotted a graffiti logo on our boat this morning. At least it wasn't the whole side - otherwise we'd have run out of nail varnish remover to get it all off!
We've had a great afternoon and evening with friends Jane and Lez who met us at the Knowle locks to get us through those and then later at Kingswood Junction. They'd cycled to meet us later

Going through Shrewley tunnel. At least you could see the end from the beginning. It had staligmites grewing down from the ceiling.
Now having to work out where to pump out our loos! We had Jane and Lez on board, with their bikes on the roof all the way until Hatton. Then it was home made pizza, birthday prosecco and homemade maccaroons - delicious!
Luckily the boat has 2 loos. So other than the unpleasant niff we'll cope until morning.
