You wouldn't believe that we're in the second half of July with the weather we've had the past couple of days.
Back through the long tunnel again. Another boat passed us by.
After retracing our journey from the other day we eventually got into the centre of Birmingham.
Our route took us very close to the theatre and waterside restaurants and shops.
This series of locks took us down - after only needing upwards locks.
After the nice bits of the city there are definitely some unsavoury parts.
Very run down and not very encouraging.
Then we had to tackle a second section of locks that were overflowing and flooding the tow paths. Wet feet today!!
Eventually with the light starting to fade we moored up in Sparks Brook, south of Birmingham. It looks more rural and nicer than some of the spots with been through today. I doubt if we'll have deer in the fields like we spotted on our way to Alvechurch last night 😄.
