5 November No Fireworks Here

A quiet day pottering around and an even quieter Bonfire Night. No fireworks here for this British celebration so we'll have to wait until New Year's Eve for our fireworks fix.

I forgot to tell you yesterday about the missing shoes. Well .... Ian has a habit of taking off his shoes and generally leaving them in the lounge. Then every so often it gets to a point that I've had enough of them being there, especially when the numbers increase.

With Ian only having been back for a few days I hadn't yet got to the point of moving any but for some reason Ian lost a pair. We were searching high and low. Under beds, in cupboards, checking bags and the wardrobes and couldn't find them. Ian was then wondering if he had actually brought them back with him but was convinced that he worn them recently.

Eventually they were found. Where? I hear you cry. Well someone really expected... under the outside table!!! Of course, just where you'd expect to leave a pair of shoes 😃. They must've been there since the lunch time before!!!! We certainly had a chuckle.

Today's peramble along the prom saw several hotels closed up for the season and the beach bars being dismantled. There must be a big shed somewhere where they store it all and hopefully they've labelled all the bits. Otherwise putting it together again for next year's season will be a challenge. Like a big Lego or Meccano set.

A bit of knitting with this evening's film - we watched 'Yesterday' based on a fun story about the Beatles songs.

I think tomorrow we'll go exploring. Time to have a change for the day.
