30 October All Dry Here

To elevate any worries you may have, the rain in Spain is in Valencia a good 5 hours drive south of us. We had a bit of a damp day on Monday but otherwise it's been dry so no flooding here. Although the locals would like more rain as we still have drought conditions here with the local reservoir at record low levels.

Today's planned walk was postponed as Margaret wasn't feeling too good and it was probably for the best as it actually got a bit drizzly late afternoon. About the time we would've been walking!

Instead I had a morning walk to the shops and took an afternoon walk along the prom.

The sand sculpture bloke is back in action. After his snow covered scene had been brushed away by some over zealous beach cleaner it's now been rebuilt. It's getting us in the Christmas spirit even with most of the walkers still in shorts and T shirts!

A generally quiet day but plenty of time to rest, relax, read and crack on with my Duolingo. I'm getting into my Spanish lessons and feel like I'm getting to grips with basic aspects of the language. Although with the language predominantly Catalan it's also tricky to know what to speak over here.

Anyway hopefully it'll be today's walk going on tomorrow and as it's Halloween we might see some spooky things 👻
