30 July Leisurely in Ludlow

I left Mum at home this morning with her gardening and headed off in Rolo for a morning in Ludlow.

I did a bit of the touristy bit having a nosey at Ludlow Castle. Looked lovely with all the flowers. As the castle concert programme had only just finished the castle was closed as they dismantled the seating and stage. No visitors allowed in today.

The view from the castle looking across the town square.

I'd spotted a Greggs on my walk up the hill from Tesco where I'd parked. A good spot for a cuppa and I could use my free birthday cake coupon. It's definitely worth having Apps for the birthday treats 😀.

I was about to make my way back to the car and spotted a Vision Express. As I've been bugged with a small scratch on my varifocals I thought I'd see if my insurance plan would cover mending or replacing them. Luckily for me it did, so now I have a new pair on order and ready in the next week or so.

Then after a quick dash round Tesco to buy a few bits it was back to find green fingered Mum putting the finishing touches to the garden. It seemed rude not to appreciate her work so we sat in the garden after lunch to enjoy her endeavours. I also managed to finish the Amsterdam detective book I was reading. It can be swapped during the week down at the telephone box library, hopefully for another thriller or detective read.

Another sunny day forecast so we'll be enjoying the garden again tomorrow.
