28 July There and Back

It's been a bit of a jam packed day as we've been back to the van and back in the day (about 5 hours round trip).

Leaving after breakfast we stopped in Aberystwyth at the Park Lodge for a cuppa and to let the dogs have a run around. Then it was back in the car for the final leg of the trip to the van. Sunshine all the way.

I'd booked our lunch at The Pepperpot in New Quay for 1.30pm so I had about an hour to make a start on getting the van sorted. Hoovering (urgh), cleaning, making beds, emptying cupboards and the fridge while mum took the dogs for a run in the beach. 

Headinh down the hill to the Pepperpot. I just love the view with the bay coming into view. As it was a hot day we took the dogs with us as we knew we had an outside table. They were lovely and cool lying on the tiled floor.

Just as well that we booked as the staff were turning people away. Roasts today so mum had beef and I had Glamorgan sausages.

Finished off with a Raspberry Roulade - delicious!

Then it was back to the van to get everything packed in the car and a final push round of the hoover. We got everything in and started back only to stop just as we went through the barrier as Mum remembered she'd left the dog leads! So after our delayed departure we returned in time to see local lad Ollie Morgan get through to the 100m backstroke final. 🎉.

Tomorrow morning the plan is to do a trip to the tip to get rid of our latest efforts from the garage tidy. Then off to Bishop's Castle in the afternoon.
