Had a great day today. A lovely walk in the morning and then an evening spent with Amy and friends in Hove.
The morning started off with breakfast in the garden christening our 'new' garden furniture.
Then we headed down the riverside towards Allington Lock. New graffiti on the motorway underpass - we took some time trying to figure out what this said ... we have up!
We found ourselves a couple of deckchairs to enjoy our cuppa and watch the river activities.
We didn't expect to see an amphibious car on the river. It parked up across the river from where we were sitting and watched as it headed down the ramp and set off in the direction of Maidstone. Maybe when Rolo gives up the ghost that will be our next car 😂. We could drive to Spain and just cross the beach to go for a cruise!
We spotted the same 5 cygnets as last week on our return walk - getting a bit bigger.
This afternoon I enjoyed reading in the garden whilst Ian headed off on some chores. Then Amy returned home and we were off on our trip to Hove in Rolo. Roof down and shades on for the lovely summer's evening drive.
We had a fantastic meal (lemon roulade was delicious 😋) and evening with Jane and Lez. Conversation and wine flowing until the early hours.
Sounds like it's breakfast out so I wonder where we'll end up in the morning 😃.
