A pretty standard drive back up through France on the non toll roads (villages and loads of roundabouts) accompanied by the obligatory rain when it was my turn to drive.
For the last part of the journey much of it was even in a thick fog. We even had fog going across the channel.
We checked in with about an hour before departure. Much of that hour was spent in queues through passport controls and security! We're dreading the thought of finger print recognition that is supposed to be brought in by October. We'll spend even more time queuing 😬.
They had warned of strong winds so I was dreading a rocky ride. However with a packed ferry (loads of children running around - half term holidays) the extra weight must have contributed to a smooth crosding. We also found a quite corner and space to lie down if I felt dodgy.
Anyway, welcomed back to Kent with a lovely pasta bake 😋. A load of washing in and then I just need to sort out what I'm taking to Mum and Dad's tomorrow - all go!!
