It's been a long and tiring day exploring Sydney and surrounding areas so I'm not writing much. Over 25k steps and unlimited travel on ferries, trains, buses and trams all day for $9!! They should do a similar thing in London - it would certainly make it more encouraging for people to visit at that price.
After breakfast we walked the other side of Darling Harbour along Barangaroo. Here we got a ferry to Parramatta at the end of the river. One of the original convict settlements.
Taking it easy going down the channel. We were on the last sailing for a few hours as the water level goes down too much for the ferry to get there.
Built in 1795 by convicts, this dairy and farm ate one of the last surviving buildings of this time.
We went on a double decker train back to the city and caught another train and bus to Bondi Beach. Making the most of our unlimited travel.
The TV show about Bondi Beach rescue hypes it up so it's full of bronzed, young surfers and shoppers drawn to the boutique shops along the front.
We hopped on a bus back into the city to see the sights lit up. The iconic Sydney Opera House. We were lucky to see fireworks as well.
We took a ferry to North Sydney which goes under the Harbour Bridge. This face is used on lots of brochures about Sydney.
View across the harbour before we got a train back over the bridge to the Central Train Station. Then it was a short walk back to our rooms to flake out.
What a day! Off to Manly Beach by ferry tomorrow as the forecast is warm and snorkeling is supposed to good over there. A relaxing last day in Sydney.
