It's actually been quite pleasant with a breeze coming through as it's been warmish despite the rain. We managed to make a dash out to have a quick explore of Drogheda and pick up a few essentials (running low on milk, bread and butter).
Walking into town we came across St Laurence's gate, a barbican which was built in the 13th century as part of the walled fortifications of this medieval town. A lady we met yesterday said there were originally 12 gates into the town but this is the only one remaining.
We popped into the tourist information so now have details of a few walks we're going to attempt tomorrow if it's dry (Ian's not impressed 😄). Just too windy for sailing with a forecast of force 6-7 - definitely another day for staying put and sightseeing.
