18th July Day at Dublin Airport

Today we've spent the majority of our time getting to, in and from Dublin airport on our way home for Amy's graduation tomorrow.

We left Anya at 9.30am, got in Dublin on the train and managed to miss a bus to the airport - it was pulling away as we got there. So as we had half an hour wait we nipped into the nearby Weatherspoon for a bottomless coffee or 2!

The next bus was on time and we got to the airport expecting huge queues but not a sausage! Only took 15 minutes to get through security and then we just had to fill out time until we could board.

We managed to get window seats, with a phone charging point, so we were sorted.

                      Three hours to kill

Looking out at the airport while waiting

Time to board - we were being sent all over the place with 3 gate changes. Then they were boarding without a plane being there 😅. Eventually we took off half an hour late.

                Ready (at last) to board

Our bus to long stay parking arrived just as Amy pulled in to collect us, so that was pretty well timed. Back home we had a lovely birthday dinner out. Now we're set for an early start to get to Amy's graduation for 8am as her ceremony is 10am. Time to get her in her gown, photoed and up to the cathedral 😊.
