31 July/1 August Arrived in Scotland

After our final leg of our journey yesterday we arrived from our overnight in Doncaster in time for dinner and a quiet evening in.

Today we headed into Edinburgh Central on the tram, to get a feel of the Fringe activities.

We couldn't pass up an opportunity to go to a market. There's a lovely market just selling handmade arts and crafts just off Prince's Street. So big that we only managed to get around a bit of it - a good excuse to revisit it tomorrow 😄.

Trying out my arty photography with the castle in the background. Found in Princes Street Gardens, this is the cast iron Ross Fountain built in 1872 which represents science, arts, poetry and industry.

Amy and I have got lots of shows booked on the 2 for 1 scheme for Monday and Tuesday - looking forward to our Fringe activities. New Zealand Margaret has also joined us for a few days to experience the Fringe so it's going to be a girl's night out tomorrow 😄.
