We woke up to a glorious sunny day with blue skies. However, remembering that sun can be very deceptive in Scotland it was sensible to put on a few warm layers until I ventured outside.
This afternoon it was a girl's trip into Edinburgh. First stop to watch a talented young lady flinging loads of hoola hoops about. Then it was on to The National Gallery to meet up with Margaret's son for an Empire biscuit and a cuppa.
We weren't disappointed. As delicious as I remember last time we had them here.
Then we set off for a free show about 15 minutes walk away in one of the many hundreds of venues used during the Fringe. Ours was near the giraffe sculpture made out of car parts. The show was historically informative and funny - a bit of a Horrible Histories for adults!
Out after our first show of our Fringe we still enjoyed the sunshine as we headed to our next venue. This time in a Performing Arts College to see Legally Blonde, the musical. A fun performance which the packed audience enjoyed.
That's all the fun of the Fringe as it's pretty pot luck as to what your show is going to be like. Hopefully our Monday shows will be good - if we get there, as we have Storm Floris coming in.
