3 July Drive Straight Through

For probably the first time ever the drive back down to Kent took place without any issues.

No hold ups, no detours and despite several roadworks and 50mph restrictions the traffic kept flowing freely. Even my stop half way didn't have the normal huge queue at Costa for a coffee!

Anyway I left at 10am and got back by 4pm so I was very pleased with my journey. Plenty of time to unpack the car and even go for a little walk.

Spotted up the road, on my walk, the reason for some unexpected road works. A pretty serious leak.

No one actually doing any work! Just all the water running down the road. No wonder we'll soon be having water restrictions if all our water is literally flowing down the drain! Hopefully they'll get on with fixing it tomorrow.

Thankfully down here in Kent it's much cooler than they've been experiencing this week. Still lovely and warm though 😄.
