8 June A Relaxing Sunday

Last night it wasn't quite Spanish temperatures! I had a bit of a chilly night sleeping on the blow up mattress in the lounge and had to fumble about in the dark in the early hours to locate my hoodie as I got so cold. Ian meanwhile was radiating heat so once I'd put on extra layers he was used as my hot water bottle!

I must've warmed up quickly as next thing it was time to get up for breakfast.

This morning Freddie was on waffle duty using his new birthday present.

First attempt was pretty good according to Margaret who was chief taster.

With the forecast looking good we took a walk with Margaret and Debbie (who had come to collect Margaret) along the riverside Allington lock. Always a lovely walk and a good opportunity to stretch out legs after 2 days in the car. Then it was time to wave Margaret off on her next phase of travelling as she starts her 4 months in the UK.

While we've been away the cauliflowers have grown. And in case you're wondering it doesn't taste any different to a normal one. Especially when covered in cheese sauce. With several more ready to eat we could be eating every cauliflower cheese combination this week.

Tomorrow is the start of a busy week and it looks like it's going to be a warm one as well.
