26 June Back On the Move

After a final morning with Mum in Ludlow and a spot of lunch, I headed off to the van in Wales. I had a stop in Aberystwyth to do a spot of food shopping and then on to the van. A bit of a slow final leg as there was a convoy of tractors for most of the way on my side of the road and a bicycle race on the other. I later found out that it was the time trial for the National Road Racing Championship, and the first of a 3 day event taking place in the area.

I arrived to a very weedy gravelled area outside the van. So I reckon I'm going to be busy pulling weeds tomorrow if it's dry!!

I also found that work to remove the rubble from the grassed area has not been done. Looks like I'm going to be having a nagging morning tomorrow as the Head Groundsman had assured me when we were last here that it would be done. I'm not impressed!

I also found that I'd left potatoes in the cupboard - again... Last time we were in Spain I found I'd done the same 🤣. I'll have to double check all the cupboards before I leave this time. Otherwise we'll return in a few months time and have a jungle growing out of the cupboards.

The evening went quickly with some work on my  tapestry project and if there's rain tomorrow I can always make a start on some dressmaking. As I brought the sewing machine along to fix Mum's curtains I thought I'd see if I could make something for junior.

I think tomorrow's going to be busy.
