Heading about 50 miles up the A9 we drove to the Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig. It's a safari park so we spent the first part of our day walking around the park before finishing off on a safari drive through the highland area.
Unbelievably there are polar bears kept here but the informative keeper told us that the latitude we were on is the same as in Canada where there's one of the largest groups of polar bears! In the winter the park is normally under thick snow so when it's warm and sunny like today you tend to think they're in the wrong environment. Apparently in the wild they sometimes have to manage in over 30C temperatures!!
Back to our Airbnb we had another BBQ. Apparently the weather's better up here than in Spain so we're pleased to have such a wonderful week up here.
