3 May Up in Scotland

A pretty straightforward trip up north - other than being stuck behind a wide load.

It took up 2 lanes, had about 3 police vehicles escorting it, was about 3 articulated lorries long and had other police cars holding up traffic on route.

It had a lorry pushing it as well as several pulling it!! Just why they had to choose bank holiday Saturday to move it is a bit of a mystery but it certainly caused a real backlog. I'm just glad we cleared it before we entered the section of motorway with one lane closed as that would've been even more of a nightmare.

Anyway we're now all cosy in our Airbnb with a wood burner if we get cold and BBQ on the balcony if it's hot. Hopefully we'll be making use of the hot option this week 😄.
