2 May Another Hot One

We've enjoyed another very hot day so not really much to report on as we've taken it easy.

Well other than Ian who has been making his way through a job's list Mum had written 😄. Mending the blind, sorting out the remote control, advising on gate repair and painting and having a go at some last minute mowing.

I've been on 'cooking' (ploughman's washed down with cider for lunch) and washing up duty! In between sitting in the garden doing a bit of reading and sewing when the sun started to go down.

This morning after having a rummage in Mum's sewing box I discovered a suitable needle. Time to eventually finish off sewing on the buttons making this little jacket now ready to wear.

Our journey northwards tomorrow is going to take at least 7 hours so it's going to be an early start. Good weather forecast so hopefully not too many caravans and holiday makers to hold us up on route.
