With overnight rain I fully expected a damp and dreary morning. However, we were fortunate in having a pretty bright and warm start to the day, knowing there was a threat of heavy rain later in the afternoon.
A good opportunity to help Mum with a bit of sorting. Ian and I took the morning tackling the last few cupboards in the garage that I'd made a start on last summer. We found some good reads so Mum will have plenty of reading matter this year. And once she's finished with them they can be swapped in the village telephone box book swap - always a good source for a decent book.
This afternoon the grey clouds slowly rolled in and from about 4pm we've had rumbles of thunder and sporadic showers. So the car has had another rinse off after its recent spring clean in Scotland.
Despite the showers it's been lovely and warm in the conservatory doing some of my cross stitch project while watching the birds scuttling about. Very therapeutic 😊.
