After a short walk from the long stay car park we admired some of the sculptures fitted around the town. This one from 2010 which I'm sure I've featured before. However I think the previous time it was in the rain! Today we were enjoying temperatures in the high teens.
It was lovely to sit outside rather than huddle inside out of the cold and wet as we have on previous trips here. We ended up with iced lattes. Only because the hot latte was too cool for me. I've either got to have a proper hot coffee or it's iced. As it wasn't in my hot range we got a pint of ice chips and hey presto!! A very enjoyable iced latte.
We then went and watched a new Ben Affleck film Accountant², a sequel to his Accountant made about 6 years ago. If you like a bit of action and a few laughs out louds this is for you. We were giggling before it even started!
We'd timed our entry to the cinema to coincide with the end of the adverts. Ian headed off to the loo so I went in to sit down. The film was just in the throws of starting and it was dark. Very dark! Not helped by my react to light glasses probably still dark (or it seemed that way).
As I had an idea of where our seats were, from choosing our seats when buying the tickets, I managed to shuffle and grapple my way in the dark to where I thought our seats were. Luckily no one was in our row so I didn't end up in someone's lap or kicking their popcorn.
So sitting in the dark with one eye on the screen as the film started I tried to look out for Ian who would be entering the screen from the right. Unfortunately he had no idea of the cinema lay out and I didn't spot him until there was a small telephone light flashing about from the left!!! How he got past me I didn't find out until the end of the film. So with a bit of a loud stage whisper and waving arms (although I've no idea why I did that as it would've been too dark to see me) he managed to grope his way down the road from the other end!
Anyway I found out that he was totally disorientated coming into the cinema and ended up tip toeing and crouching down as he passed in front of the screen before he managed to turn his phone back on to light up his route. Luckily he heard my hissed 'Ian' and eventually located our seats. I think we'd have been a bit rubbish in Spain with the recent blackouts 😆.
After our film we took ourselves off for lunch before going for a bit of a wander. We spotted this Dog Cafe - totally set up for pooches and their owners. Even a menu of doggie snacks and owner's nibbles!!
We trudged up to the castle for our history input for the day and then back to the car park through the windy roads, stopping to check out any other oddities.
A lovely day out and still sunshine on our return to the van. Looking forward to a local day tomorrow.
