Today was the Easter egg hunt so loads of children running around looking for clues. I took advantage of some of the Easter decor up at the main site. Happy Easter everyone.
After a stop for a drink in the Owners Lounge (we can now get hot chocolate as well as the normal coffee varieties), we headed further up the hill to New Quay.
After enjoying our fish and chips lunch, sitting on the harbour wall, we dug out the binoculars. Unfortunately no dolphins while we were there. However, according to the Seawatch staff, who monitor the dolphin activity in the bay, there had been a pod of harbour porpoise out earlier in the day. As Ian and I are staying here for a couple of weeks I'm sure we'll get to spot some while we're here.
It's always interesting when we return after being away for about 6 months to see what's changed. There's been quite a lot of tree clearing, some building activity on the main road into New Quay and the Post Office is closed. Maybe as a result of the recent Post Office scandal fallout? 🤔.
Anyway after walking back we managed to squeeze in another swim before we returned in time for tea and Doctor Who!
