Before we set off we checked out in the daylight what work has been done outside of the van. The electric box that has been a permanent feature immediately outside the main door (although covered in lovely climbing plants and greenery) for the last 15 years or so is now no longer permanent! Totally gone. Not even a hint of shrubbery left. But at least the dip and boggy uneven ground seems to have gone.
As I realise I haven't taken a picture of the new look yet, you'll have to wait to see what it looks like tomorrow. Currently not as tidy as last year. Definitely needs some time to grow.
So dodging the muddy, recently grass seeded areas, we took off for a food shop and potter. Lidl was first stop in town, Matalan and then M&S. With a sandwich lunch taken sitting outside under the watchful eye of a loan seagull in between purchases.
This evening Ian and Freddie join us but it won't be until very late. Not sure at this point if we'll have nodded off by the time they arrive but at least we can have a lie in if all goes well and there's no early morning milk requests!
