Today we've started to pack up things ready for our departure on Wednesday. Anything done today will be less to have to do tomorrow.
Part of our preparations has been to return some items from yesterday's shopping expedition (bike seat covers too small) and check out bathroom sink and cupboard prices. A trip over to Figueres and dodging a downpour as we came out of the shop.
Then over to Empuiabrava to bodega to check out gin prices. Where else is it cheaper to get a can of beer than a soft drink? About 45p for a can!! It doesn't really encourage alcohol free drinking. Although I suppose this was in Wine Palace where they want to make more alcoholic sales.
They had lots of samples available - looked like fudge and nougat. The shop had only just opened so a huge plate to try out 😄.
On our way out the weather looked gorgeous.
On the other hand it was not looking so good the other way!! Luckily we headed back in the direction of the blue skies.
If the bike seat doesn't fit I can always use it as a rain hat!
Ian has been repairing a lamp today - a new switch was required. All working now.
We've managed to just about eat our way through the food in the fridge and freezer so it's dinner out tomorrow night. Ian made a very tasty pork chop, onion, pepper and tomato dinner to finish everything off. Just some potatoes and eggs to take back with us that we couldn't quite manage to eat.
Hopefully it'll be a sunny day for our last day for a while so we can do a final walk along the prom. We need to check out the state of jellyfish.
