We got the bikes out this morning and took a ride over to Empuiabrava for the market.I'd spotted some bargain espadrilles last week and Ian needs some new ones so it seemed like a good excuse to go.
Ready for a bit of marketing. We found the espadrilles stall where there was a sale (they're always having sales in the market 😃). At just €2 a pair Ian selected 2 pairs and ended up with 3 different colours for €5! He's now all decked out for the next few years.
We had a lovely time after the market just sitting on the front, in the sunshine watching the yachts out racing. Then it was the cycle back in the breeze which always seems to be against us - just like sailing!!
A bit of unusual wildlife spotted this morning near our bikes. We've tried to identify it using images on line but so far without success. If you know what it is let me know.
Late afternoon we got back on our bikes to the beach just before the fishing harbour. It was the venue for this year's Festivalet where there is live music and you can try out 'pica pica' or small dishes being prepared by local restaurants.
We met up with Margaret for the evening to listen to a couple of good bands. Our timing was perfect as it just started to drizzle as we cycled back along the prom to our apartment.
An enjoyable evening out and it was actually still quite warm. Although the temperature is due to drop middle of next week - we'll have to get our winter woolies out!
