9th October Paperwork Completed

Mum and I spent most of today putting the final touches to arrangements for Dad's memorial service being held on Friday.

The Funeral Director came to visit this morning to complete paperwork and talk us through the process. He was lovely and it feels like everything is all coming together especially when Mum also heard that Dad's death could also be registered today. We didn't think it would be sorted so quickly and had fully expected not to be able to do it until next week.

So we took a trip into Ludlow to meet with the Registrar and complete all the necessary paperwork. We also have details on how you register everything on one government website so avoiding having to send copies of the death certificate to loads of places. So much easier on line.

After lunch at the Assembly Hall we did a bit of retail therapy (always a good way to improve the spirits) and finished our afternoon with a cuppa.

I'm now finishing off the Ludwig detective series on BBC iPlayer while I wait for Amy to arrive this evening. Looking forward to celebrating her birthday tomorrow with lunch out.
