7th October Ian Back!

What looked like a dull and overcast day was actually quite warm as I found out. 

I layered up thinking it was going to be chilly on my walk to Lidl but ended up quickly removing them as I gradually sweltered. Lidl was refreshingly cool with the air con on as I chose my raisin pastry for my breakfast at the airport tomorrow.

The gardener has made a start on trimming the greenery. He's also been enthusiastically using the leaf blower, leaving piles of debris requiring concentrated navigation to get back to the apartment.

My afternoon was spent keeping an eye on the progress of Ian's flight which was delayed by 40 minutes. I found a retail park one junction off the motorway before the airport junction, found a cafe and made camp there until I literally saw the Ryanair flight go overhead on its landing pathway. 

A few minutes later Ian messaged that he landed and was in the passport queue. However, despite a 12 minute drive I still had to park up and wait as he spent ages getting through.

Anyway, safely back. A bit later than originally planned but seemed like a good excuse to go out for dinner round at La Cassolla. Started off healthy and gradually declined with bolognaise as my main.

Had to finish with an ice cream sundae as it was quite a warm evening.

Up early tomorrow (6am) as we have just over an hour's drive  to Perpignan. This time it's me on the plane as I head back to Mum's.
