After trogging round all the bag stalls Paul and Kate managed to buy a 'designer' bag from the first stall we saw! Paul got some helpful tips on a good bartering technique from Ian, our resident expert. He was so good the stall holder was running after us to get Paul to buy it!!
After a coffee break and a stop at the Asia Market to buy some replacement wine glasses, we headed back in time to meet with friends who were lending us their bikes.
One of the bikes had a flat tire but after finding a replacement inner tube from the heap of bikes waiting to be disposed of, Ian and Paul soon had it up and running.
We're now all equipped with a bike for tomorrow's outing to Empuiabrava. It makes a change to our last year's river bed and bamboo forest excursion when Kate was attacked by mozzies. Hopefully with enough mozzie spray applied Kate will remain nibble free.
After lunch on the balcony and an appropriate gap to allow food to settle, the beach beckoned. Kate and I opted for a natter and chill on dry land while the men went off snorkelling. They returned from their fish safari after snorkelling round to the harbour entrance. Ian managed to find yet more abandoned fishing equipment - a purple fish shaped hook this time.
With the sun starting to go down by 7pm we went down to La Cassolla for dinner. Paul had been waiting to have the calamari followed by Porc a Roquefort since last year's visit and he wasn't disappointed 😃.
The cicalles are chirping away tonight so it must be warm. Hopefully everyone is sprayed against the mozzies so we avoid waking with new nibbles.
