27 August Rain All the Way

What a day of rain!

Can't believe so much water can come out of the skies! It lasted all the way from the time I left Peter's until I got back to Mum and Dad's. Driving 200+ miles on motorway with spray, lorries and nutters is quite a challenge in Rolo.

But I had the delights of a huge choice of Gregg's pastries on my first service station stop, after about 2 hours to keep me going. Belgian bun today with my cappuccino.

Then after another 2 hours I stopped off to visit friends near Wrexham for a natter and a cuppa. Before eventually making the final leg of the journey. 

Just under 2 hours until I got to see Dad first then Mum. By this time the rain was eventually easing and I'd had enough of the same news items on the radio news. Not being an Oasis fan I wasn't really interested in their reunion and couldn't really understand why it was the main news item for most of the morning!

Anyway on a positive note at least the forecast looks brighter for the rest of the week.
