25 August A Scottish August Day

Been a bit wet and dreary all day. Doesn't quite seem to be like an August day as we're all wrapped up and ready to keep warm and dry today.

Before taking Amy and Freddie to the airport we had a few games of the Monopoly card game. A much quicker game than the traditional board game with the idea that the winner is the first to have 3 full sets of properties. It definitely wasn't my day to win today 😄.

Anyway we enjoyed a spot of lunch before I dropped our intrepid explorers off at our drop off point by the Doubletree Hotel. Making it just a short walk through the car park and then straight into the airport.

Half an hour later I was back to enjoy a cosy Sunday afternoon in the dry. A relaxing time nibbling a Belgian bun washed down by peppermint tea whilst knitting and watching a film.

Decided to use some of the oddments of wool to make a multi coloured duck. The duck project is certainly coming along.

As it's a bank holiday tomorrow I delayed driving south to avoid any delays on the motorways. We're playning a trip out but as it's weather dependent we'll see how tomorrow unfolds.
