A relaxing day after the long drive up yesterday. Peter was working so I decided on a local walk. But not before I broke out my winter wardrobe as it was definitely cooler than I've been used to over the last few weeks. Long trousers and long sleeves on today.
With sunshine and blue skies I had planned on going after breakfast. But the blue skies suddenly disappeared and there was a window bashing down pour. However it seemed to evaporate pretty quickly when the sun broke through again. A bit like being in Spain!
I arrived back after my circular walk having had to take refuge in Lidl supermarket when there was another downpour. Gave me plenty of time to peruse the shelves and look for bargains. Luckily I only had a small rucksack so had to keep my purchases to a minimum. I managed to get a few freebies on the Lidl app (artisan bread and orange juice on this shop) and made room for a few pastries for tea time.
I've tried peppermint tea today - after initially thinking that I wouldn't like it I was pleasantly surprised. I might get a box 😄. It complemented my afternoon Belgian bun very well.
Tomorrow I start my Fringe experience. Early breakfast and 9am train to get to my first show about a 20 minute walk from the train station. Anorak and umbrella packed and ready!
