19 August Up North for The Fringe

Today was a longish journey (just over 5 hours driving with a couple of stops) so leaving after breakfast I arrived at Peter's just before he finished work.

With a yellow weather warning for heavy rain on the motorway signs I was lucky to get away with just having to contend with rain in the last hour of my journey. It eased off by early evening so we might see the Blood Moon if the sky clears tonight.

I brought up some old slides that Mum had stored at home and hadn't been able to look at for years. As Peter likes a challenge I packed them in the car in the hope that he'd be able to help out. As soon as dinner was finished he was keen to get his hands on them to make a start on getting them digitalised.

Unfortunately some are water damaged so these are not repairable but we have come across some of my Mum's sister's wedding.

Guess who was a bridesmaid! 😄 As you can see this photo had some water damage.

Rob got back from his day in Edinburgh at The Fringe having seen my nephew in his university acapella group's first performance of their week. Hopefully they have good reviews to help with their ticket sales.

Might have a quiet day tomorrow after my drive but all depends on the weather.
