Sadly we had to say goodbye to my sister and the NZ family this morning. But we're now looking forward to when we next see them all (no idea when yet!).
Our route to Hot Water Beach on the Coromandel peninsula took us via Paeroa. This is where Amy's favourite NZ soft drink of spring water and lemon originated. It was quite an interesting spot to read about it's history.
After some lunch we headed on again stopping in the small town, Tairua, to do a food shop before we arrived at our accommodation. Predicting that there would be nowhere to food shop near our destination we stocked up on bits for dinner and breakfast.
We're in a neat little cabin near the site pools and BBQ. So we're doing another BBQ tonight - we're loving the outdoor lifestyle and using up kebabs from yesterday's feast 😄.
Tomorrow we're ready to go and dig our hot water pool on the beach - we can get a spade here so saves using a spoon as Amy had planned 😂. Looking forward to exploring this part of NZ.
