23rd February BBQ and Rugby

Apologies for a delay in the blog.

The family BBQ went on until late in the evening. Ian enjoyed himself cooking on the serious bit of kit used for the bar-b (in case you're wondering he had a t-shirt over his swimming trunks). They certainly take outdoor cooking very seriously. But then they have the weather to have far more opportunities for exterior cuisine.

Then the adults settled down to a bit of shouting at the TV as we were all supporting the Hamilton Chiefs (the local team) playing a grudge match against the Crusaders (from Christchurch South Island) in the Super Rugby league.

Amy and Freddie enjoyed their underground cave boat tour to see the glow worms. Then they met up with cousin Ellie to see Kiwis. I think that's 2 things ticked off their NZ things to do list. They've only got this final week in NZ to make sure they do all the things they had planned.

Tomorrow we're off on our travels again. Up north to Hot Water Beach.
