Most of the day has been spent sorting out what to pack in the car and knitting. Late afternoon there was a bit of scrabbling around in the loft to find a printer, when Peter realised he had to print off stuff but had no way of doing it. Luckily there was a spare one as Amy uses her uni one and our old one was put away.
I've also decided that I could be a detective.... been tracking down a certificate to confirm the validity of the solar panels on Peter's house he's moving into. Apparently they've been a bit illusive. Well, we worked out who built the house, called them up and hey presto one certificate! I must say I wasn't expecting it to be so easy 😄.
Anyway once Ian returned from instructing his cadets we headed off in Max, now we have the keys. We've driven to Peterborough for the night and will continue on up to Dunfermline tomorrow. At least we're 2 hours closer and don't have to battle the M25 early on a Friday morning.
The heating is a bit noisy in our room. No worries though as Ian has worked out the issue. Always good to have a personal handy man.
So dinner out in the service station restaurant attached to the hotel - at least it wasn't far to walk. An early-ish start and breakfast on route, so with a 6 hour drive we hope to arrive mid afternoon, if traffic behaves itself.
