Today's weather has been pretty rubbish with rain and wind for most of the day. We must've had heavy rain overnight as we had to drive through a flooded road near Mum and Dad's. Poor Dad had to climb up on to the verge to keep his feet dry on the way to and from the village shop to pick up the daily paper.
With lots going on tomorrow Mum had decided on a lovely roast chicken today. Got me totally confused as we'd normally have it on a Sunday so my head was a day ahead in Sunday mode. With the weather as it was it was definitely a slouching around inside day.
Ian's been on stoker duty, ensuring the fire has kept going. He's also been measuring up behind the garage for a wood storage box/shed. It looks like it's going to be a January job as storage that can be bought is not the right sort of dimensions for Mum's requirements. Mum has a list of DIY chores so Ian is going to be kept busy while we're here.
It's been the right sort of conditions for knitting - helping Amy with a baby blanket that needs finishing by the 18th when the baby it's for comes to visit. Nearly finished this ball and then just one to go.
Our evening has been finished with the Strictly semi final. So we'll have to wait until the real Sunday evening for the results of who has been eliminated.
