All was going well today as we enjoyed Peter's last day with us. An opportunity to finish off games and sort through boxes of stuff in storage. We even had Freddie's collection of 50ps out as none of us had seen a new King Charles 50p previously.
I've also been recycling an old cardigan - gradually unpicking it. Then I'll be knitting a jumper as soon as I find a suitable pattern.
Peter volunteered to cook this evening - fried chicken with spicy sauce and 'hedgehog' potatoes. All very delicious but unfortunately as I was tucking into my last few mouthfuls there was a huge crack! Yep, my tooth has split lengthways - not the nicest of feelings especially as I know it's going to have to come out. I seem to be doomed with chicken and my teeth as that's how I lost my first tooth (which also cracked lengthways) on my 50th birthday.
Typically it's Friday evening before a bank holiday weekend and I actually have a check up appointment for Wednesday morning. However I don't think it'll last until then as I have a gentle throb already. So paracetamol at the ready and my mouth guard in, to help keep my lose tooth from moving about, and my straw to drink through.
I reckon I'll be on soups and fluids the rate I'm going 😬. Anyway first thing tomorrow it's going to be on the phone to an emergency dentist (as advised by 111), otherwise it's going to be a diet of soup and paracetamol until my Wednesday appointment 🫤.
