We squashed our last few items in and stopped off at the bins to get rid of our rubbish where we noticed a lovely sunrise. A great image to remember our final morning until next year.
On our way by 8am we had a mixed bag of weather as we crossed the border into France and headed north towards Perpignan and across the Moulin bridge. Temperatures ranging from 5-13°C throughout the day.
This was one of 4 rainbows we spotted on our way north. We reckon France is scattered with pots of gold!
One of our coffee stops was in Macdonald's. Here in France they're now using reusable cups and containers if you eat in. Even red tubs for the fries.
On our journey we kept noticing town signs that were upside down. The first time I saw it I thought my varifocals were causing me problems 🤓. When we saw more we knew something was up!
A quick Google search found that 800 town entrance signs were turned upside down during the night of Tuesday 21 to Wednesday 22 November as a protest by Dordogne farmers. The French really do protest in some original ways!
Anyway, safely arrived at our hotel in Bourges. Ian has dug out a pair of socks as he's got cold feet and I'm sporting 4 layers as we go out in search of dinner. We love this sort of weather🥶😅.
