19th November A Mellow Sunday

Not much to really write about today. It's been another glorious November day, warming up gradually throughout the day and cooling off at about 4pm.

This morning we took a leisurely stroll along a quite prom to Roses for the market. As much for the walk and something to aim for than anything else as we didn't need to buy things today.

There were some very industrious parrots flying about from tree to tree. It seemed to be that they were in nest building or nest repair mode, as they were eagerly collecting small twigs from the surrounding trees. This all resulted in a very noisy activity, almost as if there was one in charge shouting instructions, while the rest of the family looked on and joined in squawking their views!

After we'd done a complete market meander, going up and down each aisle of stalls laden down with everything from garlic presses to socks, slippers, all types of clothing, bed linen and Christmas decorations, we went in search of a coffee.

Our cafe was nicely sheltered so it was pleasantly warm while we enjoyed our cuppa and watched the locals walk by in their jumpers and winter woolies 😅.

This afternoon I've managed to get some washing out and been waving my arms around at intervals to move the pesky seagulls on. They seem to have recently taken a perch on our balcony when we're out, and it looks like at least 2 have eaten something dodgy! So if we keep them away hopefully they'll go and sit with their rear ends over someone else's balcony.

Our local forecast for the week is looking quite favourable so our last week here should be pleasantly warm. We've got a few excursions planned so we'll still be keeping ourselves busy exploring the area.
