A bright and sunny day today. After a night where I woke upat about 3am thinking we had a very bright, low moon shining. We worked out at breakfast time that a flat across the road has left it's balcony light on. It looks like that whoever was staying there has left, as there's been no activity all day, and the light's still on! They're going to have a suprise when their electricity bill arrives - we always turn our electricity off when we leave to avoid any such nasty bill surprises.
After we'd got ourselves organised we drove into Empuriabrava for the market, as we planned to buy some strawberries and they wouldn't fair particularly well on a bike ride back. We had a very productive day with a few Christmas purchases made but unfortunately no strawberries today. To compensate we went to the cafe/bar we've been to a few times before for a coffee and a chill.
Sitting in the cafe waiting for my coffee to arrive. That double chin needs some work 🫣.
I sent a picture of some of my purchases to Amy. Next thing she gave a call to see if we could get a few things for her.
So back to the market and we were Facetiming so she could see what there was. At one stall the owner was getting very involved in the shopping on line. Getting things off the rails and doing her best selling pitch.
As we'd put together quite an amount Ian then had to get into bartering mode. We really were scrapping together all our cash to pay for it all! Only a few cents left in our purse. Luckily he's very good at getting a good deal 😊.
This afternoon, while I've been having a bit of a laze and catch up on my reading, Ian has been continuing with his furniture renovation. And a very impressive job he's doing too.
After our lovely day we were treated to an amazing sunset. This photo doesn't really do it justice as the reds were very vibrant. With this fantastic red sky I'm expecting a good day tomorrow 😎.
