Not disheartened though we've donned the shorts, added a few extra layers and headed out for most of the day. Heading north over the hills we went to the seaside town of Llanca, which we last visited in September.
This time we parked up the north side of the beach and went off exploring the coves off the coast path. We got as far as Platja Grifeu before deciding that it was getting a bit cool. So we retraced our steps and then continued on into El Port looking for a cafe.
We were fortunate to find one open in a town that what very quiet with the majority of eateries closed up. Although many had signs indicating that they would be reopening the beginning of December, ready for the Christmas season.
Once our exploring was complete we drove back via Figueres to pop into a DIY shop and the local Decathlon. We were checking out what lights were in stock in the DIY shop as we're considering changing our hallway and ceiling lights. Our trip to Decathlon was to look for a 60 litre bag, as we wanted to be able to visualise how big it is. We're trying to work out what size bag would hold everything needed for next year's 2 month trip but what would also easily fit into the boot space of a small car. I think we're still working on that!
The rest of our afternoon was spent making some furniture repairs out on the balcony and then preparing dinner. I've also been working on my cushion tapestry which is in its final stages.
Tomorrow we're off to Empuriabrava market as I've had a request to get a few things for Christmas presents. We also hope to pick up some strawberries as they were on sale last week - I've finished all my breakfast fruit in anticipation of getting some 😃.
