14th November Afternoon Tea

Taking it easy today. Nothing to rush about for.

We walked to Mercadona to get essential food items we're running low on (bread, cheese, potatoes etc) as we've got enough in the freezer and cupboard to last until we're due to leave. It was a lovely warm autumnal walk and we had time to look at the boats in the canal on our way.

With a huge lemon cake Ian made yesterday, to work our way through, Richard came over for afternoon tea to help out. I also rustled together some flapjack so we had quite a feast washed down with some PG Tips.

We're finding that as soon as the sun dips behind the building in front the temperature reduces. So we have the French doors closed just after 4pm to conserve the heat indoors. The curtains then tend to get closed about 6pm after the sun had set.

A dry day forecast for tomorrow so I think we're off in L'Escala direction. Some Roman remains to find!
