12th November - Back to the Festival

Well being a Sunday what else would we be doing? As it turned out we did go to the market to get a larger plastic storage container but we'd also been invited for coffee over at Ian and John's.

This morning's walk to Roses. Warmed up quite nicely.

John and Ian have an apartment overlooking the citadel with a lovely view of the Roses bay and the mountains in the distance. So it was interesting to see a different view. They had been to the vegetable market which we didn't even know existed!

After our cuppa we went off in search of the vegetable market. First we had to go through an indoor Food Market and then out the other side to a square with a variety of fruit and veg stalls. Now we know it's there it'll be somewhere we can walk to rather than having to go to Empuriabrava on a Saturday.

Later on this afternoon we cycled back to Roses for the second day of the Festival.

We're not quite at the stage to go to Glastonbury but we did enjoy our introduction to a festival.

Two bands played tonight. Both very different with the first one being more easy listening and the second being more foot stomping - they even had a brass section!

On the cycle back along the prom the sandcastle sculpture actually had candles burning in it. It looked a bit like Hogwarts. Amazing that it's kept its shape for so long and it's still there!

This week looks like the weather is going to be fairly decent so I reckon we'll be off exploring for a few days. Only just over a fortnight to go so we've got to make the most of our remaining days.
