A lovely cycle ride across the nature reserve with very few people about. Even cycling through the town was fairly traffic free on the route we took. So once we arrived at the market we padlocked the bikes and went shopping.
This week Ian bought a bright blue hooded sweatshirt for just 5€ and I eventually found the scarf stall. This was after purchasing a long sleeve t- shirt (I'd only brought 2 away with me and as it's getting a bit cooler they're being worn constantly).
After last week's visit to the beach side cafe to get out of the rain, it was lovely to sit in the outside section in the sunshine and admire the sea view. There was also a sailing regatta today so quite a few boats to admire before we cycled back for lunch.
This evening we walked down to Roses to meet up with Ian, John and their friends Colin and Jane to go and check out the Festivalet (Little Festival). We met at the Tourist Information where we had a good view of the sun setting.
The Festivalet was taking place on the beach at the marina end of the bay. As we walked towards it we could gradually hear the music getting louder.
As well as music there were small beach huts selling drinks and Tapas for reasonable prices. We even got a souvenir cup!
We were there to listen to a couple of bands. This all girl band were really good giving a concert for a good hour and half. They really got the crowd bopping and joining in with their mix of Spanish and English songs. I had a good dance and Ian even shuffled about a bit!
With the temperature staying warmish it was a pleasant walk back once the band finished. We'll be walking back again tomorrow as it's market day in Roses - we're on the hunt for plastic food storage tubs.
