24th October Intrepid Bikers

A bit of a grey start to the day after heavy rain overnight. There was also a bit of a nip in the air so it was a long sleeve with the shorts at breakfast time.

We decided that the bikes needed their final tweaks and it was time for a trip out. Taking cycle paths which were a mixture of tarmac and off road gravel we went in the direction of Empuriabrava.

We normally drive Rolo down the central main road through the town. Today we took the road around the outskirts to the side of La Rubina beach. If we'd gone down the beach as far as possible we would have ended up across the canal from our apartment. We didn't this time but went along the arm of the harbour wall

With an invite to the mini golf tomorrow we thought we'd cycle round to see where it was.

We cycled back taking the path along the River Muga before cutting across the centre of town and linking up with the cycle path across the Nature Reserve. A lovely cycle ride. However there was the downside that things in my nether regions were getting very numb and my backside definitely needs to get used to a bike saddle again 😅. I might not be rushing to get on it tomorrow - maybe a day's break.

The sun gradually broke through this afternoon but it was a bit cool later on. Got a jumper out!

Might be wearing long trousers for our 5pm mini golf tomorrow.
