It looked a bit of a ropey morning with low cloud so I had an additional layer on thinking it was going to be chilly. I needn't have worried as it didn't stay on very long as it was pleasantly warm.
The beach was deserted, cloud low over Roses and the waves were crashing in. Not seen it with such huge waves before without any wind. No movement in the trees at all.
On our walk to meet everyone we saw 2 police cars on the prom, and 2 policemen looking at a bundle on the ground at the base of a tree. Initially we thought it was a body but on a closer look it was a coypu (a large semi-aquatic rodent). It looked a bit shell shocked as the crashing waves on the sea shore is not it's normal habitat. It must have come down the river which is where they normally live. We think the police were waiting for the RSPCA equivalent to take care of it.
Sun out on our walk back and a sea surge. Usually all you can see is beach. Spain has come out in sympathy with the UK weather.
Late afternoon, after a chill out on the balcony doing a bit of tapestry and reading, we went to Decathlon, in Figueres. Their stocks of inner tubes were in so we got 3 (needed a spare as well), and after the flat ones were replaced we took them on a bit of a run.
A few things to still tweak but we should be good to go for a ride into Roses tomorrow.
