Instead of parking down the front near the market we decided on a different spot today. We parked up in the north of Empuriabrava and walked down the river side. This took us to the fruit and veg end of the market where we made a few purchases.
We bought some ginger, garlic, a couple of pineapples and grapes. Luckily we'd brought our rucksack and a bag as the pineapples were huge.
Today there were plenty of yachts out trying to sail in the non existent breeze. It looked like there was a regatta as there were so many.
On our way back along the river side there were loads of parrots squabbling over their treasures. The one on the left had a small twig with seeds on. It was trying to peck off the seeds whilst fending off the other one! There was a lot of noise involved.
We drove back via Mercadona to pick up bread and a few items. Despite a shopping list we forgot the cheeses so while I caught up on my reading Ian walked back to get some. I had spent most of my afternoon doing cleaning and wielding a broom so it was all quite exhausting π
. Ian had tidied away all his DIY stuff, pots of paint and tools so we have got the apartment looking shipshape in preparation for Paul and Kate's arrival.
Their flight is due in at 7.45pm so we'll be heading off to Girona airport at 7pm. Tinto in the fridge chilling ready for when we get inπ·π·. I reckon as it's Sunday tomorrow it'll be a Roses market in the morning.
