12th October A Potter into Roses

After our indulgent long lunch yesterday it only seemed fitting to not over do it. So a relatively quiet day.

We pottered into Roses to pick up some walking and cycle routes from the tourist information centre. The beach was still buzzing as it seems that the Spanish schools are off this week. The life guard stations haven't been manned since the beginning of the month and all the buoys marking swimming zones have now been collected up. Probably put in storage ready for next year when they get put out in May.

After collecting a couple of maps we went in search of a couple of restaurants recommended by people yesterday. So there are a few near the citadel that we could try out some time.

Back at the apartment I enjoyed some late afternoon sunshine. Sunsets are getting earlier now and the sun goes down behind the apartment block in front of us now it's lower in the sky. Still warm to sit outside until the sun goes down at about 7.30pm.

My tapestry project coming along nicely. Using up wool left over from the crochet woodland cushions.

Tomorrow we're going off to the launderette - it's got to be done! Then we're having a housework session and tidy in preparation for Paul and Kate coming to stay for a week. All good fun here!
